Summer at the Ocean Institute

Summer is almost here at Ocean Institute, and we’re gearing up for a full season of hands-on ocean adventures both on the water and on campus!

Our summer programs invite guests to explore Southern California’s coastline in unique ways, from glowing Bioluminescence Night Cruises and Guided Snorkel Tours to Kayak Tours through Dana Point Harbor and our Sharks After Dark evenings featuring live feedings, music, and food. Each experience is designed to connect guests directly to the ocean through immersive, memorable moments!

This season’s lineup includes:
• Bioluminescence Night Cruises (May–August)
• Guided Snorkel Tours at Shaw’s Cove (June–October)
• Guided Kayak Tours in Dana Point Harbor (July–October)
• Sharks After Dark (June - August)

It’s a mix of on-the-water and after hours experiences for families, visitors, and locals looking to spend time by the coast this summer!
