Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Pump Track at Richard T. Steed Memorial Park

The City of San Clemente is excited to announce a groundbreaking ceremony for the highly anticipated San Clemente Pump Track, set to be built at Richard T. Steed Memorial Park, located at 247 Avenida La Pata. The event will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM and is open to the public and media.

The ceremony will feature remarks from City officials and project sponsors, including representatives from Shimano, the Friends of San Clemente Beaches, Parks, and Recreation Foundation, and the Orange County Mountain Bike Association. Attendees will witness the official groundbreaking, marking the start of this exciting addition to San Clemente’s outdoor recreation offerings and a landmark project for mountain bike industry in Orange County. Light refreshments will be provided as the community comes together to celebrate this milestone.

The San Clemente Pump Track will be designed and built by American Ramp Company, a leader in action sports facility construction. The track will offer a dynamic riding experience for cyclists of all skill levels, promoting outdoor activity and skill development in a safe, purpose-built environment. Construction is expected to begin as early as March 3, 2025.
