Jewell’s artistic sensibility drew him to design as a child and found its expression in the creation of fine jewelry, a passion he's enjoyed for over thirty years. Jewell was trained in the art of fine jewelry making by European master jewelers.Before establishing Alexander Jewell, he crafted jewelry for prestigious houses including Tiffany and Van Cleef & Arpels, and made jewelry for noted designers, his work adorning socialites and celebrities. His private client business affords him the greatest satisfaction as he enjoys sharing the creative process with his customers, designing and crafting custom jewelry. His love of nature led to the creation of his Endangered Species line which benefits conservation efforts. He currently partners with the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. After over thirty years in the New York City area,Jewell moved his studio to southern California where he is closer to the outdoors and wildlife that inspire him.
