Whale watching all day times are 10, 11:30, 12:30, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm Cost: $56 adult and $39 for children 3-12
Whale watching excursions have been, and are expected to continue, operating out of Dana Point with COVID protocols in place to provide viewing in a safe and socially-distanced manner. Other Festival events will be tailored to adhere to health restrictions and a schedule will be forthcoming shortly.
9 a.m. on March 7th: Nona Reimer, a retired Master Teacher and Science Mentor known as “Nona The Naturalist” will be reading her favorite children's book on Saturdays from 9 am to 9:45 on a Dana Wharf Whale Watching vessel while it is docked. These story times are limited to 15 children and 1 parent. The cost is $8 per child and proceeds will benefit the Festival of Whales Foundation
After the story it will include a craft. Nona is an American Cetacean Society Naturalist. Nona has served 4 years as The Orange County Regional Environmental Education Coordinator for the California Department of Education. Her passion for teaching only adds to the experience of Story Time with Nona The Naturalist. “Seeing the look on a child’s face when they see a whale for the first time never gets old!”

Fishing Clinic is BACK on Sunday March 7th: Kids Clinic 12:15-12:45
Dana Wharf Sportfishing invites all children to come to their dockside fishing clinic and learn hands-on techniques on fishing from the experts. Prizes will be raffled off at the end of the clinic. After the clinic Dana Wharf will be running a fishing trip from 1pm – 5:30pm, adults are $59 plus license and equipment, children 12 and under fish for FREE when accompanied by a full price adult . An extra bonus is the chance of spotting whales, dolphins and other marine life! This trip includes equipment! More information and reservations call Dana Wharf 949-496-5794 ext 7 .
